Problems: Possible nuclear war with North Korea? Immigration Issues? Paying too much in taxes? Paying not enough in taxes? Should health insurance be made available and affordable for everyone?

I Certainly do not have the answers to all of these questions.  I don’t think anyone has all of the answers.  The above problems are national or international in scope.  But there are other problems that concern us or our family and friends.  Some of these problems could be:  Do I have enough saved for retirement?  Do I have enough saved for my kid’s educational needs?  Do I have enough saved to pay the electric bill?  Why did Angela go out with … instead of me?  Did I embarrass myself at the company holiday party?  And many more of these personal problems/issues are out there.

Again, I don’t have the answers to all of these problems/issues, but I would like to follow the life lesson given to me by my brother-in-law:

“When facing a major problem, ask yourself the following questions:  Are you going to die from it?  Are you going to jail as a result of it?

If not, then get on with your life, the problem is not as bad as you think it is.”
